The book follows the story of photographer, Harry Levi. Fame, money, photographing the most beautiful women in Britain naked, Harry Levi has it all. Born in 1919 from a dynasty of Jewish Italian criminals who came to England in the 1700s, and built an entertainment business empire based on robbery, prostitution and even, murder, Harry has tried to break the mould. Initially, he gains a reputation as a photojournalist covering some momentous events of the period. But it is when he moves into glamour photography and filmmaking from his Soho studio base, that things start to go awry. His dealings with some of the most famous celebrities and gangsters of the time together with relationship problems eventually lead to a complex life. Commenting on the launch Mike said: “They say everybody has a novel in them and this was certainly the case with me. Having been born, lived and worked in London all my life, proved highly beneficial in the research for the book.” Timed Exposure is currently available on e-book and a paperback version will follow shortly.
